How was your 2008?
I was listening to NPR news, and one man was telling audience how to see off 2008 and be ready for this New Year. He recommended us starting by being grateful for all those things 2008 gave us. And then I began to mentally list everything (as little as they were) that meant a lot to me during this year; everything that makes me feel accompanied, empowered, and foremost, loved. At that point, the entire list shows me that no matter how big or small, bad or good things happen or came to my life, everything has its own meaning, now and in the future.
The most exciting or good parts of my list this year had to be with the people I love. Thanks God, I saw my family in Venezuela, and I considered that it is one of best gift I received on July. Because sharing with them again, as I said before, the small or big experiences I lived there are now cards in my mind; and every time I needed to feel connected with one of them, I will simply look for one specific card. My husband is also an important part in my life now. More than just being a great support, an excellent friend, a teacher (a father too yep, don’t tell), he’s a caring, loving, and funny man and father. My best wishes for all of them.
There are also other things that I think I must feel grateful for. Those entailed discoveries of new ways to behave, talk, write, read, play, cook, share, and mostly grow. Speaking of growing, friendship and networking have been a fulfilling experiences this year; it gave me the opportunity to challenge more goals, and to interact with many new people and know things I was unaware of. Definitely, I want to thank God for all the people that came around into my life.
Being married give people the notion of a different way of looking for entertainment, and actually it’s. One must include our partner in everything, or at least in a great part. During this 2008, my husband and I enjoyed new places, new extreme sports, and even new gastronomies. That was fascinating.
Taking pictures, planning, dreaming a lot, fighting, beading, surfing, and so much more activities that I used to do everyday are just few things I have to be grateful for…………… Thanks God, yes!, for all, and I have my hands opens to receive all you have to me this 2009, because I know you have them for some reason.
